Novelty of Pro-Cure Technology

Pro-Cure’s gene expression analysis programme has been carried out exclusively in prostate cancer stem cells, which the scientific community now believe lie at the heart of the resistance of prostate cancer to many conventional therapies, in particular, when the disease has progressed beyond the first stages of the disease.

  • The isolation, handling and growth of prostate cancer stem cells in the laboratory is severely challenging. Pro-Cure therefore believes it is unique position having developed in-house methods, which have given its scientists access to these cells from individual patents.
  • The Company’s catalogue of genes up-regulated in prostate cancer stems cells, for which it has an extensive IP portfolio, is unique and offers valuable new therapy targets which the company believes have not been identified by other groups.
  • The advanced cell culture and xenografting techniques employing cancer stem cells provide unique assay systems for prostate cancer stem cell therapeutics.
